I Won’t Stop Fighting

To my son’s teacher, who was stuck in her mind,

who never felt like she should take the time,

to truly think of the impact she’d have.

I wonder if she knew that she made my son so sad.

To be close minded, and not able to see,

the boy that my son was capable to be.

You have hurt his future, you have changed his path.

Now you are clear, I clean up the aftermath.

You seemed stuck in a stereotype, and the more that I talked,

seemed to make you more determined to keep my son blocked.

However, I have not given up, I will not until it’s right.

I am his advocate, his voice, I’ll continue to fight.
